Valerie Ang, Consultant​

Valerie’s practice has primarily been in dispute resolution in domestic Court proceedings (in both the High and State Courts) in the corporate and commercial space and in international arbitration (commercial and contractual disputes as well as hospitality (hotel) disputes).

In domestic Court proceedings, she has advised on shareholder / director, employment and property-related disputes such as contested collective sales and tenancy disputes.

Apart from contentious work, Valerie also engages in non-contentious work such as: • advising on hotel management agreements both prior to execution of the suite of agreements (eg. the management agreements, technical assistance agreements and license agreements) and daily operational issues during the course of the management agreement; • advising on employment matters, distribution agreements and shareholder / joint venture agreements.

She has also advised various Statutory Boards on various contentious and non-contentious matters.

Valerie is a qualified mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre (“SMC”) having mediated a variety of cases and also coaches with the Strategic Conflict Management for Professional Course by the SMC. She is a member with the Catholic Lawyers Guild and assists at the pro bono clinics.
